NASHVILLE, Tenn. | May 25, 2004 | CCM (Corporate Construction Managers, Inc.) and Dowdle Construction Company, Inc. today announced that the two companies have merged to form Baron + Dowdle Construction, LLC.

The new company is headed by partners Michael Baron, former president of CCM, and Glynn Dowdle, former president of Dowdle Construction.

Baron + Dowdle, a full-service general contractor, will provide new construction, renovation, design/build and construction management services to clients in Middle Tennessee and the Southeast region.

As a result of the merger, Baron + Dowdle has expanded capacity and greater depth of experience to handle a diverse range of clients and projects, including industrial, commercial, residential, retail, healthcare and religious facilities.

“Our vision is to build on our combined strengths and best practices to bring greater value to our clients, “ said Baron, who will serve as CEO of the new company. “Together, we have a 30-year track record of delivering quality and superior performance. Now we have greater capacity to handle larger, more diverse projects.”

The two founding companies have completed over $250 million in projects since 1988.
“Our clients will benefit from additional in-house capabilities resulting from the merger,” said Dowdle, president of Baron + Dowdle. “Our team includes specialists in the areas of construction management, design/build, electrical contracting and concrete construction. We are already working together on current projects, and our clients are very pleased with the results.”
The original corporations will remain in place until contracts are completed for ten major projects currently underway.

Baron and Dowdle have known each other for many years through their common interest in mission construction in third world countries. Baron has built mission construction projects in Africa, Russia and Peru. Dowdle helped build a church facility in Jamaica. “Glynn and I are a great match as partners. We share the same values and work ethic, “ Baron added.

Baron + Dowdle Construction offices are located at 652 Old Ezell Road in Nashville. For more information, call 399-0777 or visit the website at www.barondowdle.com.
